  1. University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA

USC has one of the best online master’s programs in organizational psychology. This 34-credit master’s in applied psychology with a concentration in organizational psychology contains classes in research methods in applied psychology, strategic business relationships, and psychology of organizational alter. Along with online classes, degree candidates must finish an internship. Learners can finish internships in their communities or take advantage of USC’s study abroad in Dublin, Ireland.

Although USC does not require candidates to hold a bachelor’s degree in a particular area of study, the school recommends that learners have a background in the social sciences and human behavior. Candidates must submit official GRE scores, transcripts from all previously attended institutions, a statement of purpose, three letters of reference, and a resume.

CSU consists of more than 40 online degrees along with online certificates and massive open online classes. Learners can earn a master’s in organizational psychology online in as little as two years. Degree candidates seeking research-intensive careers can take the thesis path. Learners who do not pursue the thesis path select from two certificate paths: applied workplace psychology or statistical methods in psychology. Applied workplace psychology learners will study advanced group subtleties and job analysis and performance management. Classes in the statistical methods in psychology path consist of regression analysis and statistical design analysis. The degree program uses synchronous learning with live video streams in Zoom.

The University of Hartford has challenging academics, exceptional faculty, and a low learner-to-faculty ratio of just 9-to-1. This private, nonprofit institution enrolls about 4,800 undergraduate and 2,000 graduate learners each year. Hartford has nine online graduate degrees, including one of the best online master’s programs in organizational psychology.

The coursework includes 36 credits that learners finish online. Students learn how to carry out research and collect data to solve interindividual and organizational problems. Required classes consist of personnel psychology, experimental design, and advanced research methods. Learners can customize the degree via electives on concepts like international talent management, emotional intelligence in organizations, conflict management, and intercultural communication.

The program culminates with an internship or capstone class. Classes feature an asynchronous format, giving learners the flexibility to balance their studies with personal and professional obligations.

The institution’s Center for Applied Psychology and Workforce Development assists degree candidates in finding local practicum placements.

Southern New Hampshire University has more than 200 online degrees. SNHU accepts year-round applications for the online organizational psychology master’s degree program. The institution designed the degree program for learners with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, but SNHU also accepts candidates with bachelor’s degrees in other areas, provided their transcripts consist of an introduction to psychology, research methods in social science, and social science statistics. Candidates typically obtain admissions decisions within days of submitting their online applications.

Core classes consist of facilitating organizational alter, developing high-performance teamwork, improving customer relations, and statistical methods. The school considers candidates with lower GPAs on a provisional basis. Candidates must finish an upper-level undergraduate statistics class before beginning the degree program.

Candidates need a regionally sanctioned bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA and 12 credits of psychology classes. Candidates must also submit GRE scores of at least 143 in the verbal section and 138 on the quantitative section.

NLU’s master’s in industrial and organizational psychology comprises 36 credits. The degree includes classes in performance analysis and measurement, measurement of individual differences, talent acquisition and development, and research design. The degree culminates with a capstone project. Learners need an overall minimum 3.0 GPA to qualify for graduation.

Candidates must hold a regionally sanctioned bachelor’s degree and submit transcripts, a resume, a statement of purpose, and two letters of recommendation. Some candidates must submit professional writing samples or their scores from the Criterion Online Writing Assessment. Candidates with undergraduate GPAs of at least 3.0 and those who hold other graduate degrees do not need to meet this requirement.
