The Nevada System of Higher Education’s virtual strategic planning listening sessions to be held Oct. 28–29

The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) is inviting the public to participate in a series of virtual listening sessions as part of its strategic planning process. These sessions, scheduled for October 28-29, provide a valuable opportunity for individuals from across the state to share their perspectives on the future of higher education in Nevada.

“This is your chance to help shape the future of higher education in Nevada,” said NSHE Chancellor Melody Rose. “We want to hear from students, faculty, staff, alumni, community members, and anyone with an interest in the success of our institutions.”

The listening sessions will focus on gathering feedback on a range of critical topics, including:

Accessibility and affordability: How can NSHE make higher education more accessible and affordable for all Nevadans?
Innovation and workforce development: How can NSHE prepare students for the jobs of the future and drive economic growth in the state?
Diversity, equity, and inclusion: How can NSHE foster a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environment for all students?
Sustainability and environmental responsibility: How can NSHE contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future?

Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas on these topics and any other relevant issues. The information gathered during the listening sessions will be used to inform the development of NSHE’s strategic plan, which will guide the direction of Nevada’s higher education system for the next five years.

To participate in the virtual listening sessions, please visit the NSHE website for registration details and session times. Your input is critical to ensuring that Nevada’s higher education system continues to meet the needs of its students, communities, and the state as a whole.
