Founded in 1859, Averett University is a small institution whose main campus is in Danville, a riverside town in southern Virginia. The university boasts another eleven locations throughout the state that cater to adult learners. Students come from 24 states and 20 countries. Undergraduates can choose from over 30 majors; disciplines in health, business, and criminal justice are most popular.
