Bill Raynor, former Director of Athletics at MassBay Community College, has joined Oklahoma City University (OCU) as Interim Athletics Director. Raynor, known for his impactful leadership in collegiate athletics, arrived on campus on July 22nd, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a passion for fostering student-athlete success.
Raynor’s career in athletics spans over three decades, encompassing roles at both the community college and university levels. He has a proven track record of building strong athletic programs, fostering a positive environment for student-athletes, and developing strong relationships within the athletic community.
“I am excited to join the OCU family and contribute to the continued success of the university’s athletics program,” stated Raynor. “I look forward to working with the coaches, staff, and student-athletes to create an environment that fosters both athletic and academic excellence.”
Raynor’s dedication to the development of student-athletes extends beyond the playing field. He is also the author of “Poetry in Motion,” a collection of poems inspired by his experiences in athletics and life. This unique perspective underscores his commitment to exploring the broader impact of sports and their role in shaping character and instilling values.
