In Great Britain, parents are happy to hear that the BBC has launched a new academic offering that offers school-aged children free access to hours of curriculum-based learning on television every day.
The BBC should be commended for this move, as it helps to democratize education for all children in the UK. Hopefully, companies and organizations everywhere will follow their lead and offer freemium education materials and services to the world’s most vulnerable children. This helps to even the playing field between the haves and the have nots, moving us towards the merit-based world that Pedagogue envisions.
