We examine the critical role of creativity and creative expression in the cognitive, emotional, and social development of young children. The group will discuss practices that inspire creative thinking and consider how children learn and develop from a cultural perspective. We will also discuss equity issues where access to the arts is concerned as we devise methods and ideas to engage young children’s creative thinking processes.
