Description
This group aims to educate and empower educators and clinicians working with non-binary, transgender, and intersex communities to provide culturally sensitive care. In particular, we will consider mental issues, gender stigma, and resilience. Educators will study both historical and contemporary topics, including trans victimization and social support, health care models, developing an understanding of the pathology of gender difference, trans victimization and social support, and guidelines on how to work in a trans-supportive way in hospitals, educational and youth settings.
