In this group, we will explore the effects, advantages, and risks of social media related to various learning activities. The group will have three main focuses:
Exploring different types of social media platforms and the unique opportunities to learn that each one represents.
1. Exploring the theories and philosophies that have been formed by empirical research to understand the phenomenon that social learning represents.
2. How the experiences of both the individual and others are affected by social aspects inherent to social media and how they are expressed and interpreted by this medium.
In this group, educators will actively use many different forms of social media and, working collaboratively, attempt to design new learning opportunities.
