The focus of this group is to deepen their understanding of families with young children from diverse backgrounds. The group will study family systems theories, discuss parenting styles in different cultures, the development and socialization of children from family and community perspectives, including special-needs, refugees, and immigrants, and provide an overview of family processes and socio-cultural theories.
