Academics: Master’s degree in school counseling with at least 36 semester graduate hours.
Experience Requirements: (1) Must have 2 years of teaching experience and (2) At least 100 clock hours of clinical experience before internship; and at least 450 clock hours of practicum. Nebraska school counseling licensure on teaching certificate and alternative route if the candidate does not have a Nebraska teaching certificate.
Assessments Needed:
(1) Praxis I PPST: Reading: 170, Writing: 172, and Mathematics: 171
(2) Praxis I CBT: Reading: 316, Writing: 318, and Mathematics: 316
(3) Content Mastery Exam for Education–Basic Skills Test: Minimum Score of 850.
