Intention-Setting in the Classroom

Intentions are one of the most important things that students learn in school. Intention setting is the process of creating a specific goal or vision for oneself and then working towards achieving that goal.

There are three main ways that intention-setting can be used in the classroom: as a tool for teaching students about personal responsibility, setting goals, and creating a plan for achieving goals.

Personal responsibility: When students understand the power of their own actions, they are more likely to take personal responsibility for them. This can be used to help them learn about the consequences of their actions as well as the importance of setting goals.

Goals: When students understand the importance of setting goals, they are more likely to be successful in achieving them. This can be used to help students learn about the different steps that need to be taken in order to achieve their goals as well as the importance of completing those steps.

Plan: Finally, when students understand the importance of intention-setting, they are more likely to be successful in achieving their goals. This can be used to help students learn about the different steps that need to be taken in order to create a plan that is specific and achievable as well as the importance of having an executable plan.
