Iowa State students rally against DEI regulations, restructured LGBTQIA+ center

Iowa State University students are protesting a state law that shut down the university’s Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion office and may soon impact the university’s LGBTQIA+ center. The law prohibits state universities from starting, maintaining, or funding DEI offices or positions unless required by law or for accreditation. Students are rallying against the restructuring of the LGBTQIA+ Center and other university proposals to meet the law’s requirements.
