Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Lisa Marsh Ryerson as its 6th President. Ryerson, a renowned education leader, has been selected to succeed Dr. Paul Le Blanc, who will be retiring after a decade of dedicated service to the institution.
Ryerson brings a wealth of experience in higher education, with over 25 years of service in various leadership roles. Prior to joining SNHU, she served as the President of the University of New Hampshire at Manchester, where she played a crucial role in developing and implementing strategic initiatives that enhanced student success, increased enrollments, and strengthened community partnerships.
As the new President of SNHU, Ryerson is committed to building on the university’s legacy of providing accessible and affordable education to students from diverse backgrounds. She is particularly passionate about promoting equity, inclusivity, and social mobility, and has a proven track record of developing innovative programs that address the needs of underrepresented student populations.
Throughout her career, Ryerson has been recognized for her exceptional leadership and commitment to student success. She has received numerous awards and accolades, including the University System of New Hampshire’s “Distinguished Service Award” and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators’ “Erich Lehmann Award” for her contributions to student affairs and higher education.
Ryerson’s appointment is a testament to her ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and community partners. Her vision for SNHU aligns with the university’s mission to provide students with a high-quality education that prepares them for success in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
“I am thrilled to join the SNHU community and build on the university’s rich history of innovation and student success,” said Ryerson. “I am committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, equity, and excellence, and I look forward to working with students, faculty, and staff to drive positive change and growth.”
