Mac to School offers low-cost iPad 4 devices for the new school year

Recent-generation tablets available at up to 50% of the cost of new devices

(SANTA CLARA, Calif.) Aug. 11, 2015 — Just in time for the new school year, Mac to School—a leading provider of certified Apple technology for education—is now offering recertified fourth-generation iPads to K-12 school districts.

Released in November 2014, fourth-generation iPads include a 1.4 GHz Dual-Core Apple Swift (Apple A6) processor, a much more powerful CPU than the 1 GHz Dual-Core ARM Cortex-A9 in the iPad 3.

The certified iPads are available for 25% to 50% less than what schools would pay buying comparable devices directly from Apple.

“We enable schools to save on the cost of high-quality Apple equipment by reconditioning and recertifying used iPads, iMacs, and MacBooks and selling them to schools for a fraction of the price of new devices,” said Robert Baker, co-founder and president of Mac to School. “Cost shouldn’t be a barrier in getting the best technology into the hands of all students.”

Mac to School is selling iPad 4 devices with 16 GB of storage for $299. The company has many other certified Apple products available for sale as well, including;

iPad 2 (16GB storage, Wi-Fi): $149
MacBook Air 11-inch MC968LL/A (1.6 GHz i5, 2GB RAM, 64GB SSD): $399
MacBook 13-inch MC207LL/A (2.26 GHz, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD): $299
MacBook 13-inch MC516LL/A (2.4 GHz, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD): $399
iMac 20-inch MB323LL/A (2.4 GHz, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD): $399
iMac 21.5-inch MB950LL/A (3.06 GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HD): $599
