Minnesota State College Southeast is pleased to introduce two new deans who will be joining the college this upcoming academic year. These new deans bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise, and are excited to help shape the future of the college.
First, we have Dr. Karen Smith who will be serving as the Dean of Academic Affairs. Dr. Smith comes to us with over 15 years of experience in higher education administration. She holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Minnesota, and has a proven track record of promoting student success and academic excellence. Dr. Smith is looking forward to working with faculty and staff to continue to enhance the academic programs at Minnesota State College Southeast, ensuring that students receive a top-notch education that prepares them for success in their chosen field.
Next, we have Dr. David Johnson who will be serving as the Dean of Student Affairs. Dr. Johnson brings with him a passion for supporting students in their personal and academic growth. He holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and Student Personnel Psychology from the University of Minnesota, and has worked in student affairs at various institutions for over 10 years. Dr. Johnson is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive campus environment where all students feel welcome and empowered to achieve their goals.
Both Dr. Smith and Dr. Johnson are eager to meet and collaborate with students, faculty, and staff at Minnesota State College Southeast. They are excited to work together to build a strong and vibrant community that fosters learning, growth, and success for all members of the college community.
