OU, Rose State, Southwestern Oklahoma State now offering AI degrees

In a bid to stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence, three Oklahoma institutions – University of Oklahoma, Rose State College, and Southwestern Oklahoma State University – have introduced AI-focused degree programs. This move is expected to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in an increasingly AI-driven job market.

The University of Oklahoma’s Gallogly College of Engineering has launched a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, which will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of AI principles, machine learning, and data science. The program is designed to prepare students for careers in AI research and development, as well as applications in fields such as healthcare, finance, and cybersecurity.

Rose State College, meanwhile, has introduced an Associate in Science in Artificial Intelligence, which will focus on the development of AI systems and their applications in areas like robotics, natural language processing, and computer vision. The program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in programming, data structures, and algorithms, as well as hands-on experience with AI tools and technologies.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s College of Science and Technology has also launched a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, which will emphasize the development of AI systems and their applications in fields such as healthcare, business, and education. The program will provide students with a strong foundation in computer science, mathematics, and statistics, as well as experience with AI programming languages and tools.

The introduction of these AI-focused degree programs is a significant step forward for Oklahoma’s higher education system, and is expected to have a positive impact on the state’s economy. As AI continues to transform industries and create new job opportunities, graduates of these programs will be well-positioned to take advantage of these emerging opportunities. By providing students with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in an AI-driven world, these institutions are helping to ensure Oklahoma’s future prosperity.
