HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) has appointed Dr. Daniel Greenstein as Interim Chancellor, effective immediately. The announcement comes following the departure of former Chancellor Daniel Greenstein, who has accepted a position as President of the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Greenstein, a prominent figure in higher education, brings extensive experience to the role. He previously served as the Chancellor of PASSHE for over five years, during which time he spearheaded significant reforms and advancements, including the creation of a new tuition model and the implementation of strategic partnerships.
“Dr. Greenstein is an exceptional leader with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our 14 universities,” stated [name of PASSHE Board Chair]. “His commitment to access, affordability, and student success makes him the ideal candidate to lead PASSHE during this transitional period.”
