Khadija Nazari, a Brown University student who escaped from Kabul during the Taliban takeover, has launched a school for girls in Afghanistan. The school, operating at a secret location, educates 100 girls over the age of 12. Nazari’s nonprofit, Support for Afghan Girls’ Education (SAGE), has raised $30,000 to support the school. The initiative aims to provide education and hope for girls in Afghanistan despite the Taliban’s restrictions on women’s rights.
