Gov. Glenn Youngkin Announces New Appointments to William & Mary’s Board of Visitors

Richmond, VA – Governor Glenn Youngkin announced today his appointments to the William & Mary Board of Visitors, a crucial step in shaping the future of the esteemed institution. Emily A. Miller, a renowned business leader and philanthropist with a strong background in education and community development. Miller is the founder of the Emily Miller Foundation, which focuses on empowering low-income women and children.

Dr. A. Wesley Carrington, a distinguished expert in healthcare and research. A retired physician and medical director, Carrington has dedicated his career to improving healthcare access and outcomes in underserved communities.

Richard H. Cohen, a respected lawyer and business executive with a proven track record of success in entrepreneurship and corporate leadership. Cohen has also served on various Boards of Directors, including the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

The Governor’s appointments also include:

John H. Cooper, a respected business leader and community advocate with a deep understanding of the needs and challenges facing Virginia’s rural communities.

Dr. Jacqueline E. S. Algie, a scholar and educator with a passion for education and community development. Algie is currently the Director of the Center for Social Science Research at Virginia Commonwealth University.
