In this group, we will introduce the concept of Culturally sustaining pedagogy (CSP). CSP creates a vision of the school environment that tries to foster and maintain diverse linguistic, literacy and cultural elements as part of education geared towards revitalization and positive social transformation. We will reimagine schools as places that sustain and promote Asian, Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and Pacific Islander communities. This vision will include how these identities and communities can intersect with multiple other identities.
