This group will give educators a basic overview of practical, theoretical, and research-based aspects of educational policy and how it can influence students’ academic outcomes and longer-term outcomes such as earning potential. We will discuss how educational inequalities observed from early childhood through university can contribute to lasting, sometimes lifelong, economic and social inequality.
