This group will use discussion, reading materials, natural observations, and “virtual” children to understand the different ways in which children develop – physically, mentally, emotionally, in their acquisition of language and literacy, and in how they learn – during early childhood. The group will analyze the interaction between these characteristics and the environmental context and study the theories about the developmental systems that underpin these changes.
