Description
This group is designed to develop educators’ ability to produce and critically assess the research in their field, either International and Comparative Education or another program in their department, college, and university. Educators will be introduced to the theory, assumptions, and processes of quantitative and qualitative methods, including ethnographic, experimental, historical, and survey research and other disciplined inquiry approaches. The group will examine diverse paradigms and traditions, including critical/feminist, interpretive, and positivist, associated with these approaches and the various ethical dilemmas that educators may encounter when planning, conducting, reporting, and consuming research.
