This group explores television and related media aimed at preschoolers and children in early grades from a developmental and cognitive perspective. We will consider the psychological role television plays in the context of family, education, relationships with children of a similar age, and social issues. Some of the topics we will discuss include cognitive research techniques used in producing these shows and hidden/visible curriculum development.
