This group will explore technology’s role in education throughout history. Discussions will range from early systems of instruction to the creation of textbooks as well as teaching machines and devices, models for school architecture, mediation, and distance learning. There will be an emphasis on the interaction between designed educational approaches, the contexts in which they were applied, and their subsequent success or failure.
