In a computer, a hard drive contains a powerful magnet; this means the data can be saved to your computer and then kept safe for a long time too! Mag-Lev trains use magnets to hover above the ground because there are giant magnets on the bottom side of the train and on the tracks that repel each other. Because of this, these trains can travel very fast – even up to 200mph!
